![]() ![]() In the workbench, I created a new entry under 'Operating Systems' with the Windows Vista SP1 as source it could be seen after that in the console with a build number. Hello, We are trying to deploy Windows Vista SP1 with the language packs but we are having some trouble getting the languages installed. We are using Microsoft Deployment.According to MS, you need to install the same version of the OS and the language packs so we downloaded Microsoft Vista Enterprise SP1 DVD, filename SW_DVD5_SA_Win_Vista_Enterprise_32BIT_English_32_full_int_MLF_X14-55954.ISO, and its associated language packs DVD, filename SW_DVD5_NTRL_Windows_Vista_32BIT_EN_FR_DE_ES_32_LP_SP1_X14-54827.ISO. Consider this, there are very few machines out there that will have XP with no SP or SP1 on them, as such consider making the push to up your sysreqs to SP2 or better, or just say that it is supported but not tested.-mattIf this post is helpful, please mark it as such. This will allow you network connectivity to enable you to use the RDP connections.3) If you can update to a later service pack do.Also another thing you could do is have a Virtual Server box that is managed by your SCVMM 2008 environment and host your pre-SP2 boxes on that (since the VM Additions for VS work just fine on this OS).I suspect that you are in a software development type role, and that you have some sort of testing that needs to take place on SP1 and prior of XP. Change Setup Icon Advanced Installer Free on this page. It just works once it is enabled.2) Use the Legacy Network Adapter. Plan on using RDP as your primary interface with the Guest OS. ![]() A few tips.1) Remote Desktop is your friend. However this doesn't mean that you can't have usable VMs that are these platforms. Neil,There is no work around for installing the IS into a non-supported Guest OS. ![]()
